The Indonesia EBTKE Conex has once again been organized this year. This annual event was organized in 2012 for the first time and was the idea of the Directorate General of New, Renewable, and Conservation of Energy of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources together with the Indonesian Renewable Energy Society (METI). The main theme is “Time to Deliver Clean Energy for the Nation.” The event is organized in Jakarta Convention Center for 3 days and is officially opened by the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Boediono, Wednesday (4 June 2014).

The Indonesia Domestic Biogas Programme (IDBP) has been registered as a Voluntary Gold Standard Programme of Activities. Although the verification of emission reductions is still ongoing, it has been found that each bio digester reduced emissions by approximately 4 tons of CO2e per year.

Setelah melalui proses penjurian dan verifikasi, maka Panitia Green Competition dengan bangga mengumumkan para pemenang Green Competition 2013; sebuah lomba menulis feature, membuat photo-story dan alat kampanye ‘Give people power’ yang digagas oleh Yayasan Rumah Energi dan didukung oleh Direktorat Jenderal Energi Baru Terbarukan dan Konservasi Energi, Kementrian Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral (ESDM) serta United Nations Environment Program (UNEP).

Dalam rangka pelaksanaan Program BIRU (Biogas Rumah) Hivos mencari organisasi lokal sebagai mitra pembangun dan lembaga lokal penyedia layanan kredit bagi peminat biogas skala rumah tangga.

After having successfully built around 6,000 domestic biogas digesters spread across eight provinces in Indonesia through the Indonesia Domestic Biogas Programme(IDBP) better known as the BIRU programme, Hivos will soon develop the biogas sector further to Lampung province,. Initially, the BIRU programme will focus on two locations: Lampung Tengah district and Metro Municipality, with a target of 300 biodigesters by the end of 2013.

Mendukung upaya pegelolaan kotoran sapi, Pemerintah Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat bekerjasama dengan Hivos meluncurkan program pengembangan 1.000 unit reaktor. Dana pemerintah Provinsi mencapai 3,3 miliyar rupiah untuk pengembangan biogas di NTB, yang meliputi Pulau Lombok dan Sumbawa. Dalam rangka mensinergikan langkah untuk mensukseskan program kerjasama ini, Hivos mengadakan pertemuan dengan para pemangku kepentingan di tingkat provinsi dan kabupaten, yaitu Lombok Barat, Lombok Tengah, Lombok Timur, Lombok Utara dan Kota Mataram. Pertemuan akan diadakan pada Selasa, 1 Mei 2012.
