LPP-NU Lampung Tengah
NU is the largest religious social organization in Indonesia with an estimated more than 40 million members. This organization was established on January 31, 1926 and is engaged in educational, social and economic issues.
To implement the policy in particular fields, NU formed ‘institutions’. Lembaga Pengembangan Pertanian NU (LPP NU) -the Institute of Agricultural Development of Nahdlatul Ulama, is one of them that implementing the policy of NU in the development of agriculture, the environment and marine exploration. These institutions are spread throughout Indonesia, including Lampung.
LP NU of Lampung Tengah aims to build the capacity of Nahdliyin and wider community to embody the sovereign, honest, fair and sustainable governance of agriculture, natural resources, renewable energy, rural development and environment by integrating scientific approach (science) and spirituality.
This institution became CPO of BIRU since January 2014.
