CV Bina Energi Mandiri Persada
CV Bina Energi Mandiri Persada (BEMP) is the business unit of BMT Bina Ihsanul Fikri (BIF), an institution that became BIRU CPO in 2012-2013. Since May 2014, CV BEMP has been building biogas digesters to continue the achievement of the target of BMT BIF.
BMT Bina Ihsanul Fikri is an Islamic financial institution that focuses on the economic empowerment. It was established and owned by a community in Gedong Kuning, Yogyakarta, in 1996.
The idea to establish BMT BIF emerged due to a lot of potential but small entrepreneurs were not covered by the bank. Another concern was also because the propagation of Islam had not been able to touch the economic needs of them. Mostly, their capital needs are supplied by moneylenders and loan sharks that give a very high interest rates –which is practicing a usury that is forbidden in Islam- and it is extremely burdensome to the community because the community is required to pay additional interest on the borrowed funds. This prompted was the encouragement for the establishment of BMT BIF.
