Lembaga Pemerhati Lingkungan Hidup (PILAH)
Founded in early 2003, organisation Pilah has a vision to fight for the order of life that is democratic, participatory, equitable and sustainable for the welfare of society and the environment. To achieve his goal, the organisation conducts series of activities to raise and increase the awareness of Indonesian farmers, fishermen, workers, indigenous peoples, of their rights.
Pilah focuses on the issues related to the environment, farmers, laborers, fishermen and women and children. Various activities undertaken include advocacy/policy analysis, community organizing, networking and campaigns. Some program undertaken by the organization include activities to empower people at the grassroots level in 6 (six) villages in Moyo Hilir sub-district in cooperation with SOMASI NTB and Ford Foundation in 2005-2006 and research on maternal health and child FKM Partnership with University of Indonesia and GTZ in 2007.
