Tani Wilis Village Cooperative
Village Unit Cooperatives (KUD) Tani Wilis in Sendang sub-district was formed on July 14, 1980. This cooperative name has a meaning that reflects the mission and members of cooperatives. The word "Tani" (means ‘farm’) - a common livelihood in rural areas, while the word "Wilis" is taken from Mount Wilis, the name of the mountain in which the Sendang districts located. The word "Wilis" in Javanese Kawi means the color green which is also synonymous with the term fertility or prosperity.
KUD Tani Wilis has 63 staff consisting of 48 male staff and 15 female staff and 5,832 members. The coops is running six areas of business, including Rice Milling Unit (RMU), Electrical Services Unit, Animal Feed Processing Plant unit (PMT) , shopping units, Milk Production unit, and Savings and Loan unit. KUD Tani Wilis working area covers the entire territory of Sendang sub-district, which consists of 11 (eleven) villages. The coops is a member of the In Cooperative's admission to the Indonesian Association of Dairy Cooperatives (GKSI).
KUD Tani Wilis formally participated in the BIRU program on December 27, 2011. Until now, the coops cooperative has built 132 units of BIRU digesters.
