Yayasan Mitra Membangun Masyarakat Sejahtera (YM3S) also known as Partnership for the Development of Community Welfare Foundation is a non-governmental organization based in East Nusa Tenggara, established on 14th December 1999 which specializes in programs for Community Development in partnership with the government, private sectors, local as well as international NGOs and with the community as according to its principle of partnership. YM3S works toward community empowerment in building social, economic, health and education independency by implementing various community-based programs across 9 areas of expertise we possess, which are: Research and Training Divisions; Business Development Productive, Joint Venture, Cooperative Division; Division of Fisheries and Marine Resources – Livestock, Forestry, Environment, Life, Agriculture; Water Supply and Sanitation Division; Public Health Awareness Campaign Division; and Gender Division.
Potential and governmental organizations are met with resources and development funds to become a mechanism for activities compatible with the needs of society, which is what the BIRU program does. As according to BIRU's strategies, the local community becomes the centre for human resource development. BIRU allows them to self-manage self-sustainable programs and alternatives to solve social as well as environmental problems by utilizing resources and funding from various parties including Bank Mandiri Syariah as well as develop and explore their potential through trainings provided by Hivos.
