PSP Foundation
The West Nusa Tenggara Centre for Development Studies Foundation (PSP-NTB) is a non-governmental organization founded on July 8th, 1987 in Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara. Implementation of activities through action, research and participation is hoped to create a just and prosperous society. They aim to popularize creative and innovative ideas which are based on science and technology with environmental visions.They view developments of education, health (such as: Child Malnutrition primary schools, children under five and pregnant women), agriculture, industry, households, businesses / small industries, cooperatives, environmental protection, fishing and tourism through 3 different perspectives:
- Process - the comparison of changes in development between area, villages, towns and even country;
- Method – the community becomes the target in enhancing their abilities with the resources that they already have;
- Program – regional development to seek improvement of living standards and welfare of the community.
In accordance to their principle of "Equality and Partnership", PSP-NTB established a cooperation with Hivos in 2010 and is still currently running the implementation of the BIRU domestic biogas program. This conjoined partnership was to address issues of institution strengthening (group), strengthening networks among groups, marketing and domestic biogas construction's technical assistance especially in West Lombok and Central Lombok.
