
pengetahuanhijau.com, Nusa Tenggara Barat – Along with the development of the utilisation of Biogas in Pendua Village, Kayangan Subdistrict, North Lombok Regency, the Vice Regent Saripudin, SH along with his entourage observe and evaluate the utilisation of biogas (cattle manure) applied in Pendua Village, Kayangan Subdistrict, North Lombok Regency on Wednesday (1/25) as part of his road show activities.
The road show in Pendua Village is one of the road show actvities in Kayangan Subdistrict, in which the activities which take place in Sentul Asli Hamlet, Pendua Village, is in conjunction with monitoring and evaluation of biogas utilisation (cattle manure) for cooking, lighting, and conversion to fertilisers for crops known as bio-slurry fertilisers (biogas sludge).
Today, Pendua Village has been crowned as Energy Independent and Organic Farming Village, as more than 70% of the residents have utilised biogas (cattle manures) as fuels. The sludge or bio slurry is utilised as solid and liquid organic fertilisers during farming and gardening activities.
During his visit to Pendua Village, the Vice Regent of Tioq Tata Tunaq, H. Saripudin, SH stated that the road show is intended to observe the activities implemented by the community and at the same time is a forum for hospitality with the community. He also expects the community at Pendua Village to consistently develop the Biogas to save household expenditures as well as preserve the sustainability of the surrounding environment. He has also planned to prepare a relevant programme with biogas development in North Lombok Regency.
He also hopes that in addition to utilising cattle manures into biogas, the community of Pendua Village someday will also be able to convert domestic waste into biogas.” It turns out that there are elements in our surrounding environments which can be processed for further utilisation, he said during the field visit.
In addition to monitoring and evaluating the biogas utilisation in Sentul Asli Hamlet, the Vice Regent, Saripudin, SH also carries out monitoring and evaluation toward the progress of “Pade Kompak” cattle farming group at Lokok Senggol Hamlet, Pendua Village. During the visit to the cattle farming group, he met with Nurapriani as the head of the group. Among several cattle farming groups in North Lombok Regency, Nurapriani is the only woman that serves as the head of farmers’ group in North Lombok Regency.
During the audiences with the Vice Regent Saripudin, SH, Nurapriani expressed her concerns about the poor condition of cattle shed monitoring post. Nurapriani expects that the Vice Regent will support the construction of cattle shed monitoring post to improve the monitoring activities.
During the occasion, the Vice Regent Saripudin, SH takes the opportunity to distribute flashlights to 8 active cattle farming groups in Pendua Village. The flashlights were distributed by the Head of Pendua Village, M. Abu Agus Salim Tohiruddin, as a token of support over the development of cattle farming group in Pendua Village.
In addition to the Vice Regent Saripudin, SH and his entourage, other attendees were Sport Section Head of Kayangan Subdistrict, Murahadi, S.Pd, Head of Pendua Village M. Abu Agus Salim Tohiruddin, BIRU Programme Coordinator Umar, NCO for People Security and Order I Ketut Gunawan, Field Extension Agent of Pendua Village Suhaedi, the Head of Sentul Asli Hamlet, and surrounding members of the community.
