Hukumonline.org – Directorate General of New, Renewable, and Conservation of Energy (EBTKE) of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, BIRU Programme Team, as well as the United Nation Environment Program (UNEP) have collaborated to organise 2013 Green Competition. It is expected, that through such activity, a renewable energy campaign among the young generation with passions in photography, design, and writing may be accomplished.

“Today we intensify the new and renewable energy in order to achieve the target set by the Presidential Decree No. 5 of 2006 on National Energy Policy. This is none other than an effort to achieve the goals of Green Indonesia,” uttered the Director General of New, Renewable, and Conservation of Energy (EBTKE), Rida Mulyana.

Today, Monday (8/26), winners of the competition have been openly announced during a series of talk shows in Jakarta. The winner of feature writing is the 16-year old, Adeline Tiffanie Suwana from Jakarta. Winner of Photo Story Competition is Aji Susanto Anom from Surakarta, Central Java. Meanwhile, the winner of Campaign-kit Design Competition is Asep Topan from Tangerang, Banten.

As for the presentation of the prizes to winners of the competition was carried out respectively by the Director General of New, Renewable, and Conservation of Energy, Domestic Biogas Programme Manager Indonesia (BIRU Programme) Indonesia, and Representative of FS- UNEP Collaborating Centre for Climate and Sustainable Energy Finance. Through its FACET Programme, UNEP is a partner organisation of BIRU Programme in providing access to affordable loan for cattle farmers and small scale farmers, distributed through Bank Syariah Mandiri.
