Livestock Breeders in Karanganyar Will No Longer Rely on Pertamina’s LPGs

CNN Indonesia, Jakarta – PT. Pertamina (Persero) has been confirmed to lose its 3-kilograms LPG customers of the Andini Lestari Lulung Dairy Farmers Group in Lulung Village, Karanganyar. The reason is, the farmers belonging to the group have successfully been able to produce biogas generated by the manures of the livestock they raise to fulfill the daily needs of the households.

70 Thousands Indonesians Cook with Manure-powered Stoves

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia – As of February 3, 2015, as many as 70 thousand households in Indonesia have utilised energy produced by manures. Those entire households are the beneficiaries of domestic biogas programme (BIRU) developed by the Director General of New, Renewable, and Conservation of Energy under the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

Domestic Biogas Reactor Installed Reach 14,713 Units

KOMPAS.com, JAKARTA – Domestic Biogas (BIRU) Program has been initiated since 2009, experience a significant growth. As of 2014, BIRU program has been widespread at nine provinces with a total biogas reactor installed reached a total of 14,173 units.
