About Rumah Energi

Rumah Energi (YRE) was established on 19 November 2012 within the framework of the Indonesia Domestic Biogas Programme (IDBP/BIRU), a program lead by HIVOS with partnership with SNV.  The establishment of YRE is part of program strategy to enhance ownership of local actors in biogas program, as an implementing partner of BIRU and trusted partner of Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources c.q. Directorate General of New and Renewable Energy and Electricity Conservation, Rumah Energi is currently leading the domestic biogas sector development in Indonesia.

The organization is developing into an independent organization by establishing its own identity, define its vision, mission and values.  The organization constitution explains the organization purpose which is to contribute in creating Resilience Society in Energy and Food, and  leading a  in Engaging People Towards Shared Renewable Energy Innovation and Knowledge.

Adhering to the the organization aim and mission, Yayasan Rumah Energi is now looking for a dynamic,  passionate person  aligned  with the organization values , to fill the following position:


Marketing and Promotion Officer (MPO) would be expected to take responsibilities in maintaining effective promotion and marketing of biogas related products and solution and maintaining customer relationship and creation of customer basis on biogas and organic agriculture . He / She should conduct tasks within the proposed scope of work:

  • Responsible for crafting and promote  organizations and organization current projects key messages and image
  • Create awareness of the organization and organization current projects, and  building public support through media relations, marketing, public relations and communications
  • Conceiving and developing efficient and intuitive marketing strategies
  • Create a marketing plan for introducing biogas products and services to consumers
  • Analyze the cost of sales promotion and work with the right budget
  • Keeping in contact with the biogas client at all stages of the campaign
  • Presenting campaign ideas,  costings to clients and monitor the stages of the campaign
  • Organizing and oversee advertising/communication campaigns (social media, TV etc.), exhibitions and promotional events
  • Evaluate campaign performance


- Education :  Minimum D-3 in public relation, communication, or marketing

- Experience : Minimum 2 years work experience, preferably in similar field, similar position/responsibility. Experience in product sales is an advantage

Expected knowledge and skills :

  • Intermediate English (written and verbal)
  • Knowledge on energy issue or domestic biogas will be an advantage
  • Experience in handling communication and marketing strategy for semi corporate NGO
  • Able to work under minimum supervision
  • A good team player
  • Have good negotiation and persuasion presentation skills
  • Have high confidence and able to see new business opportunities
  • Have good organizational and time management skills
  • Able to think creatively and generate new ideas
  • Client-oriented with passion in product sales
